Stopping sexual assault: fostering safer spaces begins with conversation

Free flu shots for students start Friday

Don't let the flu slow you down this fall. Starting this Friday, University Health Services will be offering free flu shots to all registered students. Boost your immunity before you hit the books so you're focused on Scantrons, not sniffles.

Exclusive interview: Rock star alum Zola Jesus lights up Shannon Hall

With her ethereal voice, soaring synth and eclectic style, Zola Jesus -- otherwise known as UW alumna Nika Danilova -- wows crowds across the country. Read more about her origins and influences as she returns to her alma mater for a free ticketed concert.

Armed with smartphones and tablet computers, a group of students from an introductory Environmental Studies class test Sustainable U, a mobile gaming application, in Science Hall at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on March 27, 2014. Guided by an online campus map, students must search campus buildings to find signs with QR codes and scan them to discover games or information about waste, water or energy use at each location. The game is under development by the Mobile Learning Incubator in the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) with support from the Office of Sustainability and is expected to launch in fall 2014.

Urban ag exploration leads to opportunities for PEOPLE students
