Registrar offers advice on third-party emails, personal information privacy

From time to time, you may notice that third parties can email addresses with various offers. Campus email addresses are considered public information, so the UW is required to provide that information upon request. If you'd like to stop receiving these emails, there are a couple of options — but there are consequences for opting out, too.

College Library has unveiled its new laptop bar located in the Open Book Collection in Room 1250. Each seat has been fitted with its own outlet and two USB charging ports. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of these über-outlets to charge their phones, e-readers or gaming devices.

Multicultural events to make Homecoming even more inclusive

Homecoming is one of the longest-running traditions at UW-Madison, and a campus coalition led by WAA is working to make the occasion more inclusive. In 2013, more than 170 attendees participated in the first Multicultural Homecoming, and this year the event is poised to expand.


Two UW student teams named finalists in national inventors competition

Two University of Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate teams are among only seven finalists for the 2014 National Collegiate Inventors Competition, which honors the latest in student creativity and innovation.
