Filmmaker Julie Winokur's son told her she was intolerant of other people's political views. So she went out and talked to hundreds of them and made a film. She's headed to campus to share it.

Bascom blaze burned brightly — 100 years ago

A century ago on Monday, Bascom Hall almost burned down. Its dome was destroyed in a fierce fire that students helped fight. The dome was never replaced — one of many changes over the years to campus's signature building. Take a look at its evolution.

Bree Newsome climbed up a pole and changed the world. The activist removed the Confederate flag from the South Carolina State House on June 17, 2015. She'll speak at Gordon Dining & Event Center at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.
