Finance prof uses Google Glass to deliver feedback

It's official – Google Glass has finally hit the classroom. Instead of marking papers and posting the solution,  Assistant Professor Michael Gofman can record personalized videos for each student. He's not just showing their grade and what they did wrong, but how they can improve in the future.

October is LGBTQ History Month

Join the LGBT Campus Center in celebrating LGBTQ histories and identities for LGBTQ History Month & National Coming Out Week in October. From film screenings and lectures to a photo exhibit and open house, there will be something for everyone.

School of Music presents plans for new recital hall

Look out Chazen, you're getting a new neighbor. The School of Music is moving ahead with plans to construct the first phase of a new performance center at the corner of Lake and University. Architects will soon present drawings for a 325-seat recital hall, rehearsal room and lobby.


Capt. Christopher Murdoch – Naval ROTC Commanding Officer

After spending 26 years on active duty in some of the world’s major trouble spots as an aviator in the U.S. Navy, Murdoch has taken command of the UW-Madison Naval ROTC unit. During his Navy career, he trained staff and task forces with U.S. Joint Forces Command and served on the staff at U.S. Fleet Forces Command.

Student org promotes bipartisanship on campus amid gridlock in Congress

While congressional gridlock in Washington continues to attract public ire and media attention, a UW-Madison student organization is working to promote bipartisanship across campus. “If a bunch of college kids can do it in a room," says Rachel Kirsch, president of the Bipartisan Issues Group, "then our own government can do it as well."
