University Housing blood drive honors employee’s injured son

Housing's Larry Davis was grateful that others stepped up to help when his 13-year-old son, Marcos, was severely burned this past summer. Now, Davis wants to help others through a blood drive in Marcos's honor today from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the University Apartments Community Center Gym.

Upcoming chats cover grad school apps, chancellor search, housing

A series of upcoming university Web chats will answer questions and seek input about diverse topics like the search for a new chancellor, crafting an effective graduate school application and making a housing decision for 2013-14.

Reminder: You can still register to vote

UW-Madison is encouraging students to register and vote for the candidates of their choice in the upcoming Nov. 6 election. But the process for registering changes after today.

UW students, alums share views on Islam

In hopes of fostering peaceful dialogue and a greater understanding of American Muslims, the Muslim Students Association is hosting "Understanding Islamophobia in America." The event will take place Friday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Varsity Hall of Union South.
