Shooting down cancer: #MakeBoPay

A year ago Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan hatched a plan to team up with the UW student body in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Nearly $42,000 later, Ryan wants to raise the stakes tomorrow – if students are ready to #MakeBoPay.

Women are underrepresented in philosophy, and UW-Madison's Socratic Society reflected that imbalance. Macy Salzberger did something about it.

First-year student remembered for love of music, nature

Cassidy Fritsch came to UW with a track record of academic success and a readiness to get involved. In just over six weeks on campus, she had already joined several organizations that spoke to her concern about the natural world. Fritsch passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 9.

UW ahead of national average in student loan repayment

Student loan repayment rates at UW students are well above the national average, according to recently released federal data. Students here had a 1.11 percent default rate on federal Perkins Loans in 2012. The national average is about 11 percent.
