Did you rub Abe’s left foot for luck on this week’s quiz? How many times do you think the tour guides have told the one about the ventilation system in Humanities? Or the bodies in Science Hall? (Wait — that one really is true.)
Spring break is over — for UW-Madison students, at least. With many high schools off this week, it’s the busiest week of the year for campus tours. Here’s a gimme: which building is the starting point for the majority of campus tours?
That would be Union South. Or, as one commenter put it, “the Campus & Community Information Welcome Desk – 1st floor, Union South – 1308 W. Dayton St. – Lat 43.039034 Long. -83.720815… How’s that for being specific?” (From one nerd to another, a fistbump to you, ma’am.)
Union South will be celebrating its fifth birthday on April 15. Everything begins at that place: tours, SOAR, football bashes, ice cream headaches…
This week’s winners are Christine Weiss and Joe Goss, chosen at random from all correct responses. Congrats! You can come to 28 Bascom Hall to pick up your prize: a fabulous UW coffee mug.
This week’s question:
Bud Selig has a good friend whose name is central to a certain part of campus. This fellow 1956 alum also happens to be Selig’s college roommate, fraternity brother and childhood neighbor. Who is this well-known Wisconsinite?
