Football tickets go on sale next week!

UW students can purchase 2017 season football tickets starting Monday, June 12, at 7:30 a.m. Student section season tickets for all seven home games are $168, with a $20 processing fee. Be sure to get yours before they sell out!    

What classes are you taking this summer?

Some students take summer term courses to satisfy a requirement in a quick timeframe. Some prefer to focus on a challenging subject with no other classes to distract them. And some just want to pursue a passion in the loveliest setting imaginable. Take a look at what six UW students are taking!

Vote on what movie to watch at Camp Randall

This year the Camp Randall movie night is on June 29 and you get to vote on which movie will play. Choose one of three family friendly movies to vote for, then get your blankets ready for a night of fun.

RecSports updates: Register for summer sports, new field open

To enjoy the most of UW's summer sports opportunities, stay up to date with RecSports. Registration is now open for all summer intramurals! Make sure to sign up before Tuesday, June 13 at 12 a.m. Another way to get your summer sports fix is at the newly opened Near West field, located directly west of the Nat.

Summer Sweet Spots video: The UW Arboretum

Looking for some solitude so you can commune with nature? Then the Arboretum is your place. The 1,200 acre natural area has tallgrass prairies, savannas, forest and wetlands. It's great place to wash your spirit clean, as John Muir would say.


Financial aid office gets social

The Office of Student Financial Aid has come into the social media age and joined both Twitter and Facebook! It's a great place for you to go to get the latest info on tuition and aid. On Twitter, the handle is @UWMad_FinAid, and the Facebook page is here.

Pro Tips

Make a rocket and you could win $25,000

Ready your rockets! Bayer and the Big Ten Conference are calling all engineers and scientists from the nation's Big Ten universities to make the highest launching Alka-Rocket. Students will compete for the opportunity to win $25,000 and attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the highest launch of an effervescent tablet rocket.


Two women’s rowing crews take home silver

At the 2017 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships this past Sunday, the women's lightweight rowing teams won second-place in the lightweight four and lightweight double sculls events. UW claimed fourth in the lightweight eight.
