One semester ends, another starts: Dates to watch

Don't bypass the important dates and deadlines that come at the end of each semester. And don't forget the important dates coming up for spring semester -- like the first day of class. Here are the key dates:

Safety during winter break — protect your stuff

Don't leave campus too quickly! Take 10 minutes to go through the checklist provided by the UW-Madison Police Department to ensure that your belongings are kept secure over break. Lock your apartment and close the shades.

Don’t forget your second meningitis vaccination

Did you get the first vaccination for meningitis? If so, great! You are half done. In order to maintain long-term immunity you must receive the second vaccination 30 days after the first vaccination. Winter break is the perfect time to schedule and get it.

Violence Prevention and Survivor Services (EVOC) welcomes three new staff

To address sexual assault and dating violence, University Health Services (UHS) has hired three additional staff members to join the End Violence on Campus (EVOC) unit to expand violence prevention and survivor services.
