An Olympian welcome back to campus

Dean of Students Lori Berquam's dreams of Rio may have fallen short, but she'll do whatever she can to make students welcome on campus. Now if only she could only fix that broken window in the Chancellor's Office.

What’s red and white and gold all over?

While you were busy with summer jobs and classes, our Badger Olympians spent August competing in Rio with the world's best athletes. Gwen Jorgensen led the way, but we had lots of stars.

New on campus? We can help. Really.

Whether you're one of more than 7,000 new students arriving on campus this week, or an upperclassman who just needs some reminders, we've got you covered. Download the new Wisconsin Welcome app, visit the YouatUW website; and check out the #WiWelcome hashtag.

Campus Life

Back to life: A splash of color, the roll of move-in carts

Take a look: Students went off with the spray paint on Sunday on East Campus Mall, creating a graffiti mural Sunday as part of JVN Day festivities.  Meanwhile, more than 7,500 students are moving into university residence halls this week, as they prepare to kick off the semester.

Snap on, Wisconsin!

We'll be snapping fun experiences throughout the year - keep a lookout for contests, freebies and account takeovers from campus celebrities.

Your Health

No more school nurse — we have a whole service

University Health Services is the student health center for UW-Madison, and it gets more than 70,000 student visits each year. To get new students off on the right foot, UHS has some tips, including updating your immunizations and setting up your MyUHS account.
